So far all of the PA optics I've handled have had a poor eye box that requires good and constant cheek weld. The 4x is comparable to that TA11 in terms of eye relief, but is not as good in terms of the eye box. Maybe the 3x will be easier?įew fixed magnification optics will compete with the TA33. I could shoot that thing in yoga positions if I wanted. My old Acog Ta33 had a very flexible eyebox. You really do need a good cheek weld to use the optic effectively. If the eye box on the 3x is anything like the 4x, it's not very forgiving. On the other hand, it does seem like we were ahead of them in engineering and manufacturing. Obviously there are many parts of their country that is more poor with less opportunities then maybe we have here, on average. And the little I DO know, they seem to be very driven academically. I'm no expert on the chinese culture, but their language itself would put most Americans in a babbling state. I personally don't want to buy Vortex, for my own reasons, I would rather buy a PA, I don't know about the Burris. I imagine it must be a pain, trying to teach people from a totally different culture, how to build anything with any complexity. He said some of the Chinese factories, are learning to do it alright, and some do it much better. Back a few years ago, when I was in the market for a cheap red dot, Marcus from PA told me strait up, that some of the Vortex stuff, was better then the some of the comparable PA stuff. The Burris also looks simular, Maybe PA contracted Vortex or Burris to make their prism, I don't know. They do look like they have a lot of similarities, yet quite different. I imagine it must be a pain, trying to teach people from a totally different culture, how to build anything with any complexity.when they are a simple people. This is conjecture of course, but I suspect it may be true. Case in point: check out their Strike Eagle vs. My gut suspicion that many of the Vortex optics are made in the same factory as the PA ones. Has anyone looked threw both of them? Which has better glass? I am just wondering because I may be up for a prism, and want to make sure the PA has great glass like the spitfire.
